Ariel AGM - Annual Report for Beavers

In the past 12 months, we have completed a wide variety of activities, including: making pancakes, cooking mini pizzas with personalised toppings, decorated Halloween masks, produced healthy eating posters, undertook a keep fit session, assembled a collage from pictures of birds of prey and reptiles, orienteering, went on the sponsored walk at Woodgate Valley Country Park, marched on the St George’s Day parade, made paper aeroplanes, visited Snibston Discovery Museum in Leicestershire, participated in a cowboy quiz, tent construction challenge against the clock, played kwik cricket, had a water fight with water balloons, played football and had a penalty shootout, brewed hot drinks, designed pirate flags, grass sledging, acted out stories for imagination badge, scaled the obstacle course created from active kids equipment, manufactured pirate t-shirts for the pirate camp in July, balloon games, rounders, watched Toy Story 3 on the projector, built giant models of robots, a fighter jet and Hogwarts castle from recycling, prepared fruit kebabs with optional chocolate sauce, searched for eggs during an Easter treasure hunt, made hot drinks (hot chocolate and tea) for our ‘which biscuit is best?’ competition, measured how our heart rate changes before and after exercise, travelled to the Old Rep theatre on the train in the snow, made chocolate cookies from scratch with the cubs, backwoods cooking, night line, skunk tag, went bowling, assembled our shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child, learnt how to tie a lasso, had sparklers and hot dogs on bonfire night, constructed ‘Chatterboxes’, feather blowing races, space hopper relays, took part in the District football competition, designed front covers for Roald Dahl books, attended Remembrance Day, created flying saucers, renewed our promise at St George’s Day, had sleeping bag sack races, invented and mimed stories in groups, snowball fights and snow angels, joint new year party with the cubs, planted cornflowers and tomatoes, word searches, manufactured Christmas cards, find your shoes in the dark game, designed glitter decorations for scout hut tree, team building and trust exercises, Halloween costume party, made sandwiches for the healthy eating badge, had a Wild West sleepover with the cubs, crafted pirate hats and eye patches, attended cubs to see the animal man and his creepy crawlies, saw George’s Marvellous Medicine at the theatre, played with our multi coloured parachute, celebrated 25 years of Beavers, invented and acted out winter themed stories, participated in a newspaper snowball fight, decorated a 10 metre banner with paint and handprints, had a pirate party with the cubs, ventured on the discovery trail in Selly Oak Park
