‘My son was in Cubs and when the Leader asked me to help at the camp, it felt like the natural thing to do. The camp was brilliant. I really enjoyed the camaraderie and seeing the children helping one another. Scouting plays such a huge part in children’s lives. It was great to see them playing happily in the woods, getting dirty and coming back hungry and exhausted. I was a Venture Scout years ago and now I’m about to take up an appointment. It’s great to be back in Scouting.’
